Appliance host
name
Description: This is the host name of the appliance. If you are supplying a DNS server, this
host name must be fully qualified. From a supported browser, you can navigate
to the appliance using this name or by using the appliance IP address.
Data type: Host names are composed of a series of labels concatenated with periods
(<label>.<label>, etc.).
Host names may contain alphanumeric characters, hyphens (-), and periods
(.).
The host name has a maximum length of 255 characters.
Each label within a host name must begin and end with an alphanumeric
character and have a maximum length of 63 characters.

Appliance IP
address
Description: This is the IP address you are assigning to this appliance. Use this to browse to
the appliance.
Default value: None
Required: Yes
Deployment IP
address
Description: This is the IP address used by the deployment engine within the appliance. It is
used to communicate with a target server’s deployment interface IP address and
its iLO IP address. This should be on the same network as the appliance IP
address.
This is the IP address to provide to HP Matrix Operating Environment.
IMPORTANT: If you change this IP address, the appliance will become
unavailable for up to 20 minutes while it is reconfigured, followed by an
appliance reboot. In addition, all target servers’ agents will have to be updated
with the new IP address. HP does not recommend changing this IP address
unless absolutely necessary.
