CAUTION: Relying on randomly assigned DHCP addresses can result in connectivity issues
and failures throughout the environment when the DHCP server changes the address assigned
to the appliance.
This is the IP address assigned to this appliance. Use this IP address to browse to the appliance
via a supported browser.
Appliance IP
address
This is the IP address used by the deployment engine within the appliance. It is used to
communicate with a target server’s deployment interface IP address and its iLO IP address. This
should be on the same network as the appliance IP address.
Deployment IP
address
This is the IP address to provide to HP Matrix Operating Environment.
This is the IPv4 mask representing the bits reserved for network identification (for example,
255.255.255.0) , or the Classless Internet Domain Routing (CIDR) mask representing the number
of bits reserved for network identification.

10.3 Create a certificate signing request

This is the sequence of events for a certificate authenticated by a Certificate Authority (CA):
1. Create a certificate signing request.
2. Send the certificate signing request to the CA; the CA stipulates how this is done.
3. Receive the certificate from the CA; the CA stipulates how this is done also.
4. Import the certificate.
Prerequisites
Minimum required privileges: Infrastructure Administrator
Gather the information for the request as required by the CA.
You must know the certificate authority’s challenge password.
Procedure 43 Creating a certificate signing request
1. Select ActionsCreate certificate signing request in the Settings screen.
2. Enter the required information shown in Table 55 (page 82)
3. Enter the certificate signing request attributes; see Table 55 (page 82).
4. Enter any optional information shown in Table 55 (page 82).
5. Click OK.
6. Transfer the certificate signing request to the CA.
