NOTE: The Build Plans provided by Insight Control server provisioning are read only, so you
may not edit those Build Plans. Instead, save the Build Plan to a new name by selecting
ActionsSave as from the Build Plan Overview screen and then edit that copy.
5.8.1 Information displayed on the General screen for OS Build Plans
Table 21 General information
Description Description: Optional customer-provided text that is a short, meaningful synopsis of what
this OS Build Plan does. HP-provided Build Plans include a description that is
read-only.
Data type: Character strings.
The Description has a maximum length of 500 characters.
Default value: None
Required: No
Last modified Description: This is the date and time when the OS Build Plan was last changed.
Default value: If the Build Plan has never been modified since it was created, the Last modified
date and time will be the same as the Created date and time.
This is the date and time when the OS Build Plan was first saved.Created
This field describes the type of action being performed by the Build Plan. If an operating system
is being deployed, the value will be OS <operating system type>. If the Build Plan
does not deploy an OS, the value displayed will be Other.
Type
The target servers' expected microprocessor type.Architecture
If Yes, this script was created by HP and is read only.HP-provided
5.9 History of OS Build Plan changes
To view a full page history of actions on a particular OS Build Plan, select History from the OS
Build Plan view menu. The history page lists:
Date the time the action occurred.
Action what was done to the Build Plan.
5.10 Listing available OS Build Plans
From any OS Build Plan screen, the list of available Build Plans are in the master pane list of Build
Plans.
The number of Build Plans listed in the master pane appears at the top of the list. All indicates that
every Build Plan in the database is listed. Filtered indicates a list filtered by the Search query in
the banner.
Procedure 34 To use Search to filter available OS Build Plans
1. Select OS Build Plans from the main menu.
2. Select Search in the banner.
3. Enter your search query and press Enter to get the results. Search results will appear in the
master pane list of OS Build Plans. At the top of the master pane you will see Filtered and the
number of results.
4. To return to the complete list of Build Plans, clear the query field in the Search area and press
Enter.
