5.7.4 Editing OS Build Plan custom attributes

Procedure 31 To create a new custom attribute for a Build Plan
1. From the Edit OS Build Plan screen, select Create custom attribute.
2. On the Create Custom Attribute screen, enter the custom attribute name and value. See “Custom
attributes for OS Build Plans (page 51) for additional information.
NOTE: Custom attributes are ranked by priority; if there are two custom attributes with the
same name, the one with a lower priority is overridden by the one with a higher priority.
Custom attributes associated with Build Plans have the lowest priority, so if there are any other
custom attributes with the same name, the Build Plan custom attribute will be overridden. See
the HP Insight Control server provisioning Administration Guide available at http://
www.hp.com/go/insightcontrol/docs for more detailed information.
3. From the Create Custom Attribute screen select an action:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Create Custom Attribute screen and closes
the screen.
Cancel Exits the Create Custom Attribute screen without saving any edits.
4. From the Edit OS Build Plan screen select an action:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Edit screen and closes the Edit screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit OS Build Plan screen without saving any edits since your last save.
Procedure 32 To change the value of a Build Plan custom attribute
1. From the Edit OS Build Plan screen, select on the row of the custom attribute you want to
modify.
2. On the Edit Custom Attribute screen , enter the new value. See “Custom attributes for OS Build
Plans (page 51) for additional information.
3. From the Edit Custom Attribute screen select an action:
OK Saves the changes to the value and closes the screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit Custom Attribute screen without saving any edits.
4. Select an action on the Edit OS Build Plan screen:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Edit screen and closes the Edit screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit OS Build Plan screen without saving any edits since your last save.
Procedure 33 To delete a Build Plan custom attribute
1. From the Edit OS Build Plan screen, select on the row of the custom attribute you want to
delete.
2. From the Edit OS Build Plan screen select an action:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Edit screen and closes the Edit screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit OS Build Plan screen without saving any edits since your last save.
5.8 General information for OS Build Plans
The OS Build Plan General screen displays information associated with the Build Plan selected in
the master pane list of Build Plans.
This is a read-only view. To edit the Build Plan, select or select ActionsEdit.
