5.6 Deleting OS Build Plans
Procedure 25 To delete an OS Build Plan
1. Select the Build Plan you wish to delete from the master pane of any OS Build Plan screen.
2. Select Actions→Delete
NOTE: Build Plans supplied by Insight Control server provisioning are read only and may not
be deleted. These are identified by the HP-provided field on the Overview General panel showing
Yes.
If a Build Plan is currently running as a job, you will not be able to delete it until the job is complete.
5.7 Editing OS Build Plans
The Edit OS Build Plan screen is available by selecting Actions→Edit from any OS Build Plan screen,
or by selecting from the OS Build Plan Overview screen.
If the HP-provided field on the Overview General panel shows Yes, the OS Build Plan was created
by HP and is read only. Save the Build Plan to a new name by selecting Actions→Save as from
the Overview screen and then edit that copy.

Procedure 26 To edit an OS Build Plan
1. Select the Build Plan of interest from the master pane of any OS Build Plan screen.
2. Select Actions→Edit.
5.7.1 Navigating the Edit OS Build Plan screen
If you come to the Edit OS Build Plan screen from the Overview screen, you will be taken to a
section depending on the you selected: General, Steps, or Custom attributes.
TIP: You can edit other sections of the Edit screen by scrolling – all sections are available to edit.
5.7.2 Editing OS Build Plan general information

Name Description: This is the label that will be associated with this OS Build Plan.
Data type: Character string
May not begin with a space or punctuation.
The Name cannot contain: <, >, &, newlines, tabs, slashes (/), or backslashes
(\).
Maximum length of 500 characters.
Default value: None
Required: Yes
