Procedure 19 To change the value of a server custom attribute
1. From the Edit server screen, select on the row of the custom attribute you want to modify.
2. On the Edit Custom Attribute screen , enter the new Value. See “Custom attributes for servers
(page 35) for additional information.
3. From the Edit Custom Attribute screen select an action:
OK Saves the changes to the value and closes the screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit Custom Attribute screen without saving any edits.
4. Select an action on the Edit server screen:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Edit screen and closes the Edit screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit server screen without saving any edits since your last save.
Procedure 20 To override an inherited custom attribute so it is local to the server
1. From the Edit server screen, select on the row of the custom attribute you want to modify.
2. On the Override Custom Attribute screen, enter the new Value. See “Custom attributes for
servers (page 35) for additional information.
3. From the Override Custom Attribute screen select an action:
OK Saves the changes to the value and closes the screen.
Cancel Exits the Override Custom Attribute screen without saving any edits.
4. Select an action on the Edit server screen:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Edit screen and closes the Edit screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit server screen without saving any edits.
Procedure 21 To reset an overridden custom attribute back to the inherited value
1. From the Edit server screen, select on the row of the custom attribute you want to reset. The
value of the custom attribute will be reset and the Source will be reset to the inherited value.
2. Select an action on the Edit server screen:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Edit screen and closes the Edit screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit server screen without saving any edits.
Procedure 22 To delete a server custom attribute
1. From the Edit server screen, select on the row of the custom attribute you want to delete.
2. From the Edit server screen select an action:
OK Saves all changes that were made on the Edit screen and closes the Edit screen.
Cancel Exits the Edit server screen without saving any edits since your last save.
