1. Select OS Build Plans from the main menu.
2. Select a saved Build Plan. Note that HP-provided Build Plans cannot be edited.
3. Select in the Custom Attributes pane.
4. Select Create custom attribute.
Create a custom attribute for the operating system type with a name “OSType (case sensitive).
Values must include either “Windows or “Linux”. Windows should include either 2003, 2008
or 2012. Other version information such as RHEL, R2, SUSE, SP2, and so on can be included
but is not required. Examples include: “Windows 2008 R2”, “Windows 2012”, and “Linux
RHEL 6.3”. The order of the tokens in the string is not important, and other text can be included.
For example, “My 2008 R2 Windows with drivers will work.
5. Create a custom attribute with a name archType (case sensitive). Values can either be x86”
or x64”.
3.6.5 Validate the Matrix OE integration
If the preceding steps are successful, Matrix OE will show one or more OS Build Plans in the
Infrastructure Orchestrationsoftware tab. It might be necessary to use the refresh button on that
screen.

3.6.6 Restore communication with Matrix OE if I changed the Deployment IP address
1. If the Insight Control server provisioning appliance was discovered by Matrix Operating
Environment, run the discovery again.
a. Select OptionsDiscovery.
b. Select the discovery task.
c. Select Run Now.
2. On the CMS, add the mxnodesecurity entry at the command prompt. For example:
mxnodesecurity -a -p dsc_sas -n <Deployment IP address> -c
MatrixUser:<password>
3. Update the Matrix infrastructure orchestration network definition.
a. From the ToolsInfrastructure orchestration page, go to the Networks tab.
b. Select the network definition associated with the Insight Control server provisioning
deployment network.
c. Select Edit.
d. Using the Deployment Server drop box, select the new IP address of Insight Control server
provisioning.
4. Update all templates using the network associated with the deployment server.
a. Select the Templates tab.
b. Select a template that uses the associated network.
c. Select Edit.
d. Select Save.
e. Repeat for every template that uses the associated network.
