Procedure 14 To set the password
1. Select Settings from the main menu.
2. Select in the OS Deployment Settings pane.
3. Enter a password in Deployment password. Note this password for future use.
4. Select OK to save the value.
Procedure 15 To determine the Deployment IP address
1. Select Settings from the main menu.
2. Select in the Appliance pane.
3. Note the value listed in Deployment IP address for future use.
3.6.2 Integrate with Matrix OE during installation
If the Insight Control server provisioning appliance is specified as follows when Matrix OE is
installed, the integration process occurs automatically.
1. “Determine the values needed for Matrix OE integration (page 31)
2. From a command prompt on the CMS, verify connectivity between the CMS and the IC server
provisioning server by using the ping command.
C:> ping <IC server provisioning Deployment IP address>
3. Begin the Matrix OE installation process.
4. Enter the Deployment IP address and the password for MatrixUser in the HP Matrix infrastructure
orchestration deployment server configuration dialog.
5. The installation process copies the opswclient.jar library from the IC server provisioning
server into the Systems Insight Manager \lib directory.
6. Follow the steps in “Configure OS Build Plans for use in Matrix OE” (page 32).
3.6.3 Integrate with a previously installed Matrix OE installation
Follow these steps to configure Matrix OE with a new or existing IC server provisioning appliance.
1. Stop the Systems Insight Manager service on your CMS.
2. On the CMS, download the client jar file by pointing a browser to
https://<IC server provisioning Deployment IP
address>/twister/opswclient.jar
3. Save this file into the Systems Insight Manager library directory (typically C:\Program
Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\lib).
4. Overwrite the existing file.
NOTE: Do not leave the old jar file in the directory, even if it is renamed.
5. Start the Systems Insight Manager service again.
6. On the CMS, add the mxnodesecurity entry at the command prompt. For example:
mxnodesecurity -a -p dsc_sas -n <Deployment IP address> -c
MatrixUser:<password>
NOTE: This “Deployment IP address must be used, not the Appliance IP address. Similarly,
the “MatrixUser user name is required and cannot be changed.
7. Follow the steps in “Configure OS Build Plans for use in Matrix OE” (page 32).
3.6.4 Configure OS Build Plans for use in Matrix OE
After Matrix OE has been configured to use the client library, configure the OS Build Plans.
NOTE: OS Build Plans will not be listed in Matrix OE if these attributes are not set.
