Table Of Contents
3.4.1 Create a new script
To create a new script you must create a copy of an existing script with ActionsSave as from the
Scripts screen and then edit the copy.
HP provides script templates for this purpose. The templates provided are:
An Empty Template Unix Shell Script for creating Bourne shell (sh), C shell (csh), and KornShell
(ksh) scripts.
An Empty Template OGFS Script for creating Opsware Global File System scripts in Python
or Shell
An Empty Template Windows Batch Script for creating a Windows command script
An Empty Template Windows Python Script for creating a script in Python
An Empty Template Windows VBScript
Scripts may only have parameters defined when they are part of a Build Plan, so the copy of the
script will have no parameters.
NOTE: If you copy any Build Plan, all the parameters associated with the Build Plan scripts are
retained in the Build Plan copy.
If you copy a script within an Build Plan, the script parameters are stripped and will not appear
in the script copy.
3.5 Servers how do I ... ?
“Handle an ESXi server once it’s deployed” (page 31)
3.5.1 Handle an ESXi server once it’s deployed
Once you successfully run an OS Build Plan to deploy ESXi to a server, that server does not appear
in the Servers left side master pane as OK and the server properties such as IP address and host
name might not be reflected properly. This is because ESXi does not support running an SA agent.
You can leave the server in the appliance database with a status that does not reflect the current
state of the server, or you can delete the server.
If you leave the server in the appliance database, you can run Build Plans on it that begin with a
boot step because the boot step uses the iLO.
3.6 Matrix OE integration how do I ... ?

3.6.1 Determine the values needed for Matrix OE integration
Before starting the integration, set the MatrixUser password and note the Deployment IP address.
After the password has been entered, the Deployment password entry control will continue to
appear empty. MatrixUser is the only user name used by Matrix OE; Administrator or other user
names cannot be used.
NOTE: MatrixUser is not a regular IC server provisioning user and will not appear on the Users
page. Do not manually create an IC server provisioning user named “MatrixUser.
