12.35 Unexpected message: Please wait while your appliance restarts
12.35.1 Symptom
The browser running the appliance shows a spinner and “Please wait while your appliance restarts”
message. You cannot log in and you are not expecting to see this message.
12.35.2 Resolution
A timing issue caused the browser to miss the message that the appliance is ready. Try refreshing
the browser page, clearing the browser cache, or restarting the browser. One way to verify whether
the appliance is ready or not is to check the system console and see if it is also displaying the
spinner.
12.36 Cannot navigate away from an appliance screen
The browser running the appliance operates in a restricted mode and so it is possible to be unable
to navigate away from a screen.
Restart the browser by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, or by mousing near the top of the screen which
brings up limited browser controls and selecting x in the upper right corner of the screen.
12.37 Error message on browser screen after clicking download link
12.37.1 Symptom
After selecting a download link from the GUI, you are taken to a browser page with an unfriendly
error message displayed on it. This can happen from download links and menu items such as:
Media Server setup utility, WinPE image generation utility, creating a support dump, and
downloading audit logs. This is expected browser behavior when an error is encountered while
navigating to a link. This can be caused by a networking or file system problem.
12.37.2 Resolution
Click the browser “back” button. You will be returned to the browser page where you initiated the
download.
12.38 GUI is sluggish after changing deployment IP address
12.38.1 Symptom
After changing the deployment IP address (and the subsequent appliance reboot) the GUI when
run in Mozilla Firefox is sluggish.
12.38.2 Resolution
Start a new browser session.
12.39 GUI main menu freezes with Windows Internet Explorer
12.39.1 Symptom
On rare occasions, when using Windows Internet Explorer version 9 or 10, the IC server
provisioning main menu freezes.
12.39.2 Resolution
Make another selection on the screen or refresh the browser.
