12.5.4 Incorrect gateway and DNS information
Update the appliance Gateway address and Preferred DNS server information on the Settings
Appliance Networking page.
12.5.5 A firewall is blocking PXE/TFTP requests
Make sure the following ports are open:
Port 67 (UDP) DHCP
Port 69 (UDP) TFTP
Port 4011 (UDP) PXE
12.6 Unable to add a server via iLO
12.6.1 Possible causes
“iLO is unresponsive (page 102)
“iLO IP address is incorrect (page 102)
“The iLO is not accessible from the appliance (page 102)
“Incorrect iLO credentials (page 102)
“Insufficient iLO permissions (page 102)
“Target system is at the BIOS screen or powering on (page 102)
“BIOS date and time are too far off” (page 103)
“iLO password uses illegal characters (page 103)
12.6.2 iLO is unresponsive
Use ssh to access the iLO and reset it using the reset map1 command. Make sure you allow
enough time for the iLO to reboot before trying to add it again.
12.6.3 iLO IP address is incorrect
Verify the iLO IP address.
12.6.4 The iLO is not accessible from the appliance
Verify the iLO NIC is reachable from the appliance.
12.6.5 Incorrect iLO credentials
Verify the iLO credentials on the Add server page.
12.6.6 Insufficient iLO permissions
The account specified on the Add server page requires all permissions except admin.
12.6.7 Target system is at the BIOS screen or powering on
If the target server is at the RBSU screen or if the server is running its power on self test, the proper
boot parameters cannot be set automatically by the appliance. Exit RBSU, power off the target
server, and try again.
