HP Insight Control 7.3 Update 1 Release Notes
Suggested action
Change the device name of the teaming adapter from non-English to English.
Network Adaptor and port is not displayed in Online Analysis page
The network adaptor and port are not displayed in the Online Analysis page if there is NIC bonding
with mode 0. Also, the bonding is not visible. This is due to the random behavior in NIC bonding.
Configuration recommendations
Performance management does not make configuration recommendations in this version of the
software.
Major issues
Storage component display "0" value for status counters in the Offline\Online Analysis page
On PMP Online\Offline Analysis page, on the right pane, the status value for storage component
displays as 0 for Danelectro series controllers when configured with windows OS only.
Few of the monitored servers automatically stop monitoring
Monitoring status for a few servers in the Monitoring Administration page may stop after long
periods of inactivity. This behavior is observed intermittently in the scalability environment.
Suggested action
From the Monitoring Administration page, select the servers that have stopped monitoring and
click Apply to monitor the selected servers.
Network, Storage, and Host Bus Subsystems display “0” value for status counters in the Offline
Analysis page
Offline Analysis fetches performance and configuration data of the servers from the database to
play back and to monitor the server’s continuous performance. In Offline Analysis, Network,
Storage, and host bus subsystem counters display a “0” value in the status table and in the status
tab, although the online analysis page shows values and the data is available in the database.
Minor issues
Managed server is shown multiple times on the ICPM lists
When you delete a node from the Insight Control Home page or the Systems Insight Manager
Home page, the device key is deleted from the SIM Database. However, it still exists in the IC
Perf table.
This is because IC Perf has a separate database from SIM and there is no functionality to delete
the entries simultaneously from both tables.
In this case, if you try to rediscover the same node, SIM gives a new device key and the same is
copied to the IC Perf database. Hence, there are two different device keys for the same node
which causes multiple entries in the Monitoring Administration page.
Suggested action
When you delete the node from the Systems Insight Manager Home page, ensure to delete the
corresponding device key entries from the PMP_Discovered_Servers and
PMP_Monitored_Servers tables in the IC Perf database.
