HP Insight Control 7.3 Update 1 Release Notes
Job overview screen may display incomplete data
Occasionally, the summary data for a job will be incorrectly displayed. The total number of servers
will be correctly reported but the numbers for Running, Succeeded, and Failed will all be zero as
well as the number of steps completed.
Suggested action
Refresh the page manually or wait for the next automatic refresh of the page (usually less than a
minute).
Active Directory integration assumes default schema
When integrating with Microsoft's AD (Active Directory) and specifying the directory search context
it is assumed that the directory is using the default AD schema where users and groups are both
parented under a common container object. For example, users and groups parented under:
CN=Users, DC=example, DC=com.
If the users and groups directory objects do not have a common parent, assigning roles to a
directory group fails.
Suggested action
If your Active Directory does not satisfy this limitation, you can use local users on the server
provisioning appliance instead of directory integration for authentication.
Server provisioning appliance restart does not log out users
When restarting a server provisioning appliance, user sessions are not deleted, despite a message
indicating that all logged in users are logged out. As a result, when the appliance restarts, all users
will still be logged in.
Suggested action
The only way to force a logout of a user is to delete the user from the server provisioning appliance.
This results in the user being logged out without having to restart the appliance. This is the
recommended action when a password is compromised. Once deleted, the user can be readded.
Media server setup utility case sensitivity
When running the Media Server Setup Utility anytime after the first time, the share name you enter
must match the original share name specified, including case, if not an error occurs during
processing. This happens even though Windows is case insensitive.
Suggested action
Be sure to specify the share name exactly as it was specified during the original run.
Intelligent Provisioning Firmware Update produces benign error
After successfully updating the Intelligent Provisioning Firmware using the ProLiant SW - Intelligent
Provisioning Firmware Update Build Plan, the job output may show the error message
mkdir: cannot create directory `C:blobs': Input/output error.
Suggested action
This message is expected and can be ignored.
