Minor issues
Multiple copies of some scripts exist in the appliance
When viewing the list of scripts on the appliance, you will notice that some scripts appear twice
in the list. To avoid possible future problems when the duplicates are removed in an update, always
be sure to select the first instance of these scripts:
• Prevent WIM File Overwrite
• Remap Windows Drives
• Unmap Network Drive
• Validate Custom Attributes
• Create Windows System Drive
and the second instance of the
• Validate ImageX Package Contents
script.
Suggested action
To verify that you have selected the proper script for your build plan, open the build plan and click
on the link that is the name of the script in question. Then, look at the details for that script. The
version of that script should NOT be "1".
Windows SPP OS Build Plan install may take two hours on a Japanese Windows target if the NIC
driver/firmware resets the network adapter
The Windows SPP OS Build Plan installation may take two hours to complete on a Japanese
Windows target if the NIC driver/firmware resets the network adapter.
Suggested action
Perform the following steps:
1. Make a copy of the Install Windows SPP script and edit it.
2. Replace the instance of %DeploymentAdapter% with the Deployment Interface Adapter
name.
3. If you don't know the Deployment Interface Adapter name, you can get it by selecting that
server from the servers list and viewing the server details.
4. Locate the Deployment interface IP address and then find the corresponding Network Adapter
name.

Limitations
NOTE: The latest version of HP Insight Control Server Deployment Installation Guide is available
on the web. The version that is shipped in the installation kit is not the latest.
NOTE: The packaging for Insight Control server deployment is changed. To install Insight Control
server deployment:
1. a. Download the Icdepl-7.2.2.x.zip package.
b. After extracting, you receive .exe and .sig files.
c. Double-click ICdepl-7.2.2.x.exe, and proceed with the installation.
Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 operating system distribution is not copied during the installation
When you try to install Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 feature during Insight Control server deployment
installation, and try to copy the distribution files, the copy operation fails.
