Using Insight Control virtual machine management controls and tools
You can perform various tasks using Insight Control virtual machine management controls, available from
the HP SIM host or virtual machine System Page, as described in the following sections.
NOTE: The time to complete a virtual machine operation that involves file transfers takes longer when
Network Attached Storage (NAS) volumes are used because Insight Control virtual machine management
shares a network connection with NAS. Be sure separate networks are set up for Insight Control virtual
machine management and NAS.
The following Insight Control virtual machine management tasks appear on the HP SIM host or guest System
Page. Use these tasks to start, resume, shut down, stop, pause, reset, or restart licensed virtual machine
guests.
