IMPORTANT: HP encourages the use of SPPs for HP ProLiant servers. However, if you need to
use the ProLiant Support Pack, you can still download the PSP and Smart Update Firmware DVD
from the HP Support & Drivers website:

In some cases, it is possible to configure a managed system without PSP software. For more
information, see the white paper titled Setting up Managed Systems in Insight Control for Linux
without the ProLiant Support Pack. To obtain this white paper, see Section 7.7 (page 23).
5.6 HP Smart Update Firmware DVD
NOTE: The HP Smart Update Firmware DVD was previously known as the HP ProLiant Firmware
Maintenance DVD (and, in earlier releases, CD).
Supported version: 10.10
Each ProLiant server usually has several devices that require regular firmware updates, and HP
offers tools on the HP Smart Update Firmware DVD that help simplify the task of updating firmware.
The HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) is a tool used during firmware installation.
