1.2 Upgrade path to this release
To upgrade to Insight Control for Linux Version 6.0, the CMS can be running any previous release
of Insight Control for Linux.
Table 1-2 lists the actions taken by the Insight Control for Linux install.sh script when it
detects previously installed versions of HP SIM, Insight Control for Linux, or both.
NOTE: In general, it is a good practice to upgrade HP SIM and Insight Control for Linux
together, and HP recommends doing so. It is possible that backward compatibility issues might
occur if you upgrade HP SIM without upgrading Insight Control for Linux as well.
