HP Insight Cluster Management Utility v7.2 Release Notes
2.7 post_node_config program added to the diskless API
The post_node_config program is called after all of the configure_node programs run.
The original purpose of the post_node_config program was to sychronize the NFS servers
with any node-specific changes made by the configure_node programs, but any global actions
that occur after the configure_node programs run can be configured here.
2.8 Monitoring Intel coprocessors
The cmu_config_intel utility configures Intel coprocessor monitoring in HP Insight CMU.
IMPORTANT: If you currently monitor Intel coprocessors using HP Insight CMU, you must deploy
an updated set of images. To deploy the images:
1. Redeploy the HP Insight CMU monitoring client to all nodes. It contains a new binary for
collecting coprocessor metrics.
2. Remove the existing coprocessor metrics from the /opt/cmu/etc/
ActionsAndAlertsFile.txt file and install the updated metrics:
• Stop HP Insight CMU monitoring.
• Run /opt/cmu/bin/cmu_config_intel –r to remove the existing coprocessor
metrics from the /opt/cmu/etc/ActionsAndAlertsFile.txt file.
• Run /opt/cmu/bin/cmu_config_intel <numCopros> to install the new metrics
into the /opt/cmu/etc/ActionsAndAlertsFile.txt file.
• Start HP Insight CMU monitoring.
2.9 Support for backup and cloning of Dynamic Smart Arrays
(B120i/B320i RAID mode)
HP Insight CMU v7.2 supports backup and cloning of Dynamic Smart Arrays (B120i, B320i RAID
mode) configured on compute nodes. However, B110i (e.g. SL4545 G7) based RAID mode is not
supported.
NOTE:
For autoinstall (kickstart) of a compute node with Dynamic Smart Arrays, see section 5.2.7.1 "RHEL
autoinstall customization for nodes configured with Dynamic Smart Array RAID (B120i, B320i
RAID mode)" in the "HP Insight CMU v7.2 User Guide".

• Add new -p option (in Pager) to cmu_do_firmware_mgmt.
• Add new -d option to cmu_show_logical_groups to show device.
• Add cmu_condense_names full support for stdin and args.
• Add several keywords into the autoinstall engine.
• Add new -n flag to cmu_autoinstall_node, to allow specifying nodespec as well as
nodefile.
• Add cmu_custom_menu keyword to provide the IP_ADDRESS list of nodes selected. (Only
available from the GUI.)
• Add cmu_custom_menu keyword TERMINAL. For details, see /opt/cmu/etc/
cmu_custom_menu.
