HP Insight Cluster Management Utility v7.2 Release Notes

smart terminal—Able to propose the usual contextual menu when the cursor is positioned
over an HP Insight CMU compute node name.
The following limitation might be encountered due to this functionality:
Sessions might terminate when idle if the GUI was launched from webstart using a proxy.
NOTE: You can enable the xterm functionality in the options menu of the GUI.
IMPORTANT: The HP Insight CMU GUI and all provided java resources are now signed by an
HP standard and official certificate. In particular, the JOGL bits are now certified and signed by
HP. This will prevent security warnings.
Add menu selection DisplaySettingSelection—Improves color selection functionality.
Enable management card settings from the GUI.
Avoid the confusing Generic keyword for entries in the Information panel.
Create node panel for partition—Allows sorting and efficient selection.
Improve Node Management panel—User friendly table and menu.
Implement new Metric Selection menu—Allows selections per group or for all groups.
Custom menus are now dynamic and do not require reloading or restarting the GUI interface.
The CGI generating the JNLP files now advertises the .jnlp extension instead of .cgi to
improve the user experience on some browsers.
2.5 TECHPREVIEW oneSIS diskless support for RHEL and SLES
HP Insight CMU v7.2 introduces support for managing an NFS-root-based diskless cluster via
oneSIS (http://onesis.org). OneSIS is an open source diskless cluster management suite that
supports managing and deploying a single "read-only" NFS-exported image to the diskless clients.
All local file system "write" operations are redirected to an in-memory tmpfs file system. For more
information on HP Insight CMU oneSIS support, see the "HP Insight CMU v7.2 Users Guide". HP
Insight CMU v7.2 oneSIS support is only qualified on RHEL/Centos 6.x OS distributions.
2.6 Licensing changes
Customers upgrading from earlier versions of HP Insight CMU must obtain new license keys. Keys
for earlier versions do not work with HP Insight CMU v7.2.
The procedure to obtain license keys is provided with the Entitlement Certificate. For more details,
contact HP support channels.
Copy the content of all license key files to /opt/cmu/etc/cmu.lic.
