2 Installation and Starting
Computer Requirements
It is recommended to install the iNode management center to an always-on computer with a static IP
address. In this way, iNode clients can reach the iNode management center at any time to implement
auto upgrading.
The iNode management center cannot be installed on a virtual machine.
Operating System Requirements
The iNode management center cannot be installed on any 64-bit Windows version. It supports the
following Windows operating systems:
z Windows 2000
z Windows XP
z Windows Server 2003
z Windows Vista
z Windows 7
Currently, no tests show that the iNode management center conflicts with other types of software. If
problems occur, please contact the technical support for help.
Installing the iNode Management Center
To install the iNode management center, follow these steps:
1) Get a copy of the installation program of the iNode management center from the inbox CD-ROM or
from the website. Log in to the Windows operating system as Administrator. Run the program to
open the welcome page of the InstallShield wizard, as shown in
Figure 2-1. Click Next.
