Figure 3 shows an example of a policy item, (LDAP Server Authentication), and the referencing of the

specific settings in the LDAP 1 Shared Item Instance.

The policy items that can reference LDAP Settings appear in the window as Related Technology links.

If any of these policy items actually reference a Shared Item Instance, an (in use) status will appear

next to the policy item. See Figure 4.

If the referenced Shared Item Instance settings are incomplete or incorrect, the policy item and the

policy will be invalid. See Figure 5.

Note: This error will appear in all policy editor references where it is invalid.
