Default Configuration
To enable the Instant-On Security feature, the Accept Device Announcements box must
be selected. After selecting Accept Device Announcements, a pop-up notification
provides a reminder to ensure TCP port 3329 is not blocked at the firewall. See Figure 16.

When the Accept Device Announcements box is selected, two Instant-On Security
options exist. Option 1 is discovery only of DAA supported devices by selecting Accept
Device Announcements without selecting Allow Automatic Remediation. Upon
receiving the device announcement, HP IPSC establishes communication with the device,
places the device in the database and assigns it a license. It will not attempt to apply the
configured security policy. See Figure 17.
