After downloading from the web, you can install this version on any server running on any one of
the HP-UX releases listed in the table.
Ignite-UX version C.7.16.283 includes the following new features:
• Support for cluster DSF.
• Support for boot disk size greater than 2TB (upto 16TB max) during cold installation and
recovery.
This release also includes fixes for the following Change Requests:
• QXCR1001056377—Boot disk > 2TB in size can be used now for installing HP-UX 11i v3.
• QXCR1001113271—Support for cDSFs into Ignite-UX.
• QXCR1001189838—Agile ctl device information is added to io.info and is used for
recovery.
• QXCR1001225407—After Ignite-UX recovery, LVM commands will not fail on systems that
have SRP installed.
• QXCR1001228658—During Ignite-UX upgrade on the server containing recovery commands
depots,swlist does not complain about the missing INFO file.
• QXCR1001235981—Legacy disk instance numbers are mapped correctly.
• QXCR1001239595—On HP-UX 11i v2 and later, Ignite-UX now supports the size of swap,
dump, and unused logical volumes up to 1TB in size instead of the previous limit of 128GB.
Larger amounts of swap/dump or swap volumes can be utilized in disk or volume groups
created during a cold install or recovery by defining multiple swap/dump or swap volumes.
The limit for unused volumes on 11i v1 is 1TB. However the limit for swap and dump have
not been increased.
• QXCR1001245156—Deleting a disk with multiple paths deletes all the paths.
• QXCR1001247114—Legacy CD/DVD devices instance numbers are recovered properly.
• QXCR1001247383—If pax archive is set in the defaults file, diagnostic messages are
displayed.
