Ignite-UX Release Notes (5900-3323, October 2013)

• * QXCR1001055810. Ignite-UX has been updated to correctly display the maximum volume
group size in itool window.
• QXCR1001057724. When running make_net_recovery with the -r option to resume a
preview, it will now remove all the configuration directories associated with an old recovery
archive.
• QXCR1001058334. Recovery image installs of 11.31 clients with either compartments
enabled or configured as Secure Resource Partitions (SRP) are now supported.
• QXCR1001059542. Tape archive creation/recovery will succeed on a HP-UX B.11.23
IPF machine even if the /dev/rmt/stape_config file is missing. That file was used to
check the type of the tape which is not required and therefore that check has been removed.
• * QXCR1001073659 The save_config script will now correctly process the VxVM volumes
with 5.1 pre-enablement changes in Ignite-UX.
• QXCR1001075059. The VxVM components in the Ignite-UX install environment and the
installation depot must be version 5.0 or higher in order to use persistent DSFs.
• QXCR1001075174. Support has been added to permit swm-based installs over NFS for
B.11.31.
• QXCR1001075974. Ignite-UX will not allow the root volume to be configured under a FlexFC
VFC.
• QXCR1001075979. Ignite-UX will not allow swap/dump to be configured under a FlexFC
VFC.
• QXCR1001075980. itool now supports NPIV/FlexFC VFC configured on a system.
• QXCR1001092353. The fix for QXCR1000942141 has been backed out to support creation
of tape archives on multiple tapes for IPF systems.
• QXCR1001093531 Ignite-UX has been modified to detect and support physical memory of
size greater than 2TB(upto 8TB) during the cold installation and Network Recovery.
Notes related to known problems with this release:
There are no new known problems.
The following limitations are applicable for the current release:
• Ignite-UX does not support Cluster Device Special files (cDSF) in Service Guard Cluster
environment. Recovery support for such a configuration is not supported. If you require support
for recovery archives in a Service Guard environment do not implement cDSF support.
