Managing HP X9000 Network Storage System Remote Replication Application Note (TA768-96049, November 2011)
Start a continuous replication task between two file systems:
[root@ibrix01a ifs1]# ibrix_crr -s -f ifs1 -F ifs2 -P target3
Submitted CRR operation to background. ID of submitted task: crr-10
Command succeeded!
The source of a continuous replication task must be the root of a file system.
Monitoring system load
You can monitor system load in real time on the X9000 GUI dashboard. The following dashboard
shows the system load on a replication target cluster during the initial domain scan, when the
source and target clusters are brought into sync.
The X9000 Statistics Tool provides detailed performance data. To start the tool, click Historical
Reports on the top right of the dashboard.
Troubleshooting remote replication
Failed source file serving node
When continuous replication is used and file serving nodes are configured for high availability,
complete the following steps if a source file serving node fails:
1. Stop all continuous replication tasks on the source cluster.
2. When you are sure that node failover is complete, start a new continuous replication task (or
tasks) to heal the replicas.
This process ensures that any changes not replicated from the failed node will now be replicated.
