HP StoreAll 93xx/8x00 6.2 QR-DVD.iso installation network defaults
By default, beginning with version 6.2, the StoreAll OS installation will automatically detect a
single 10 Gb NIC or dual 10 Gb NICS and place all available NIC ports into Bond0 and configure
for default bonding mode 1. There is support for configuring bonding modes 4 or 6 via the F2
Advanced Network Configuration menu during the installation. However, please note that beginning
with version 6.2, HP recommends mode 1 for a single 10 Gb NIC configuration and mode 4 for
a dual 10 Gb NIC configuration.
If the installation detects a 1 Gb Quad port Interface card, then all 4 ports will be placed into
Bond0 and configured for default bonding mode 6. Again, if mode 4 is desired, use the F2
Advanced Network Configuration menu during the installation to change the bonding mode to 4
(LACP). Remember, your network administrator will be responsible for configuring all customer
edge switches for LACP to support mode 4 bonding.
NOTE: Only mode 1 bonding is qualified for use with HP StoreAll 93xx/8x00 6.2, RHEL5.5
with VLAN Tagging.
