Operating systems
StoreAll supported devices use the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8 (64 bit) operating system.
StoreAll Linux and Windows Client Support
The HP StoreAll OS Software 6.5.1 release supports version 6.3.x for StoreAll Windows clients and
versions 6.3.3 and 6.5.1 for StoreAll Linux clients. If you are already running the StoreAll Windows
6.3.x clients, no action is required. If you are already running version 6.3.3 on the StoreAll Linux
clients, you are not required to upgrade to the 6.5.1 client, but the 6.5.1 client upgrade is preferred.
If you are running a StoreAll Linux client version earlier than 6.3.3, you must upgrade, at a minimum,
to 6.3.3. However, upgrading to the 6.5.1 client is strongly encouraged.
Other supported software
For the latest compatibility information, see the HP StoreAll Storage Compatibility Guide and the HP
StoreAll Storage ISV Compatibility Guide on HP Storage SPOCK:
1. Go to http://www.hp.com/storage/spock.
2. Log in with your HP Passport when prompted, or register if you do not already have an account.
3. In the left navigation pane, select Storage Servers (NAS) under Other Hardware.
4. Select one of the following in the right pane.
• HP StoreAll Storage Compatibility Guide for compatibility information for the HP StoreAll OS
Software.
• HP StoreAll Storage ISV Compatibility Guide for compatibility information in regards to
third-party products used with the HP StoreAll OS Software.
NOTE: StoreAll has dropped support for NDMP with Netbackup.
Languages
International English
NOTE: The HP-SMB server supports the following languages for file and directory names: English
(ASCII), Latin-1 (Danish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese), Russian, Greek, Japanese,
Korean, and Chinese (Mandarin). This language support will be available for file share names in a
future release.
