HP StoreAll OS 6.5.1 Release Notes

Node failover does not occur when a node has a complete loss of power (for example, removing
power cords or pulling a blade from a chassis). Do not test high availability in this manner.
NFS locks may return an error code (37) after an unlock operation even though the lock was
correctly released. If other results are normal, you can ignore this error code.
The Data Tiering Wizard in the GUI was designed to function with the file system segments
selection set to either the default value or specific segments and the allocation policy set to the
default value. If you use the CLI to change the segment selection to either ALL or LOCAL, the GUI
(the Data Tiering Wizard) will no longer function correctly. With the segment selection changed
to a non-default value, attempts to change the file system tuning settings while modifying the
primary tier in the wizard will not be accepted. Further, no messages or warnings are displayed
in the GUI.
To restore normal GUI behavior, you must reset the file system segment selection and allocation
policy to the default values in the CLI using the following command:
ibrix_fs_tune -f file_system_name -h host_name,host_name -p -U
If you use the Extend Filesystem wizard on an X9720, the wizard will display the following error
message:
Bonded interface 'bond0' does not exist. Please create the bond before
proceeding with Extend File System wizard.
This error message displays because a condition check for the X9720 server is not present in the
wizard. To avoid this issue, use the ibrix_fs e command to extend a file system on an X9720.
HP Insight Remote Support
If Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) resolution is not configured properly for the hosts, the
following error appears when hpsmhd is restarted:
Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name,
using <ip> for ServerName
To configure FQDN resolution, use either the /etc/hosts file or the Domain Name Service.
On HP SIM 7.1, 9320/9300 nodes are discovered as “HP 9320 NetStor FSN” if MSA storage
is registered on the cluster nodes. This does not affect sending alerts to HP Support.
ibdircheck
HP recommends that you do not run rebalancer, segment evacuation and/or data tiering tasks
with ibdircheck.
The output from the ibdircheck command might show incorrect statistics counters. For some
conditions the number of errors does not match the number of corrections. There are plans to fix
this issue in a subsequent patch. If you encounter this issue, contact HP support for analysis of the
ibdircheck logs to determine if you have a benign situation or if you have any file system errors
truly left uncorrected.
ibrix_collect
If collection does not start after a node recovers from a system crash, check the /var/crash/
<timestamp> directory to determine whether the vmcore is complete. The command
ibrix_collect does not process incomplete vmcores. Also check /usr/local/ibrix/log/
ibrixcollect/kdumpcollect.log for any errors.
If the status of a collection is Partially_collected, typically the management console service
was not running or there was not enough space available in the /local disk partition on the
