Procedure to recreate the hpspAdmin account
For the HPSP monitoring subsystem, after replacing the system board the iLO will need to have an
account created with of the same name and password the old iLO had with the following rights:
• Administrative User Accounts
• Remote Console Access
• Virtual Power and Reset
• Virtual Media
• Configure iLO Settings
Privilege based on above settings: administrator
The user name and password for that user can be taken from the credential service with one of
the following commands depending on system version:
9730 and 9720 with StoreAll version 6.1:
hpsp_credmgmt --get-cred --cred-selector chassis:chassis/server/bay1/ilo
--output-username --output-password
9730 and 9720 with StoreAll version 6.2:
hpsp_credmgmt --get-cred -s chassis:chassis/*/ilo --no-ip --output-sl
If the Ibrix power source username and password is different than what is saved in the credential
manager, those need to be restored as well. See the StoreAll System Administrator guide for those
details.
Finally, the service engineer should validate (via GUI or CLI) that the Ibrix power source can do its
failover power controls.
These procedures will be documented in Server section of the Field Repair Volume of the next
edition of the Platform Guides.
