Workarounds
Firmware Management Tool
The following section describes workarounds for known Firmware Management Tool issues):
• In the 9720 and 9730 platforms, update of the firmware in the SAS switch can become stuck in
an infinite loop. To perform the switch firmware update and avoid this problem use the following
procedure:
1. Make sure that the affected switch has a working peer SAS switch.
2. Fetch OA IP by executing “hpsp_chassis_info –o”
3. Connect to OA using above IP.
4. Execute “show interconnect list” command to discover the interconnect bay within which
the victim SAS switch is located:
For 9730:
