HP IBRIX X9730 Performance Module Installation Instructions (QZ730-96001, June 2012)

Installing the server blades (X9730 PN)
CAUTION: When handling system
components, there is a danger that equipment
may be damaged by electrostatic discharge
(ESD). Use proper anti-static protection at all
times:
Keep the replacement component in the
ESD bag until needed.
Wear an ESD wrist strap grounded to an
unpainted surface of the enclosure.
Touch an unpainted surface of the
enclosure before handling the component.
Never touch the connector pins.
The X9730 PN server blades must be installed in pairs;
you cannot install a single server blade. (When you
purchase the X9730 Performance Module, you receive
two X9730 PN server blades.) For example, server
blades 1 and 2 should be installed together; server
blades 3 and 4 should be installed together, and so
on. See Figure 10 (page 7) for the server blade
numbering scheme. Determine where you will be
installing the new X9730 PN server blades.
