Table 6-10 Error Codes
Event code Event code name Description
0x901 Hard SCSI Error An abnormal SCSI bus or disk drive event was detected and
could not be cleared through retry operations.
0x903 Fan Removed A fan pack has been shut down or removed from the system.
0x904 VSC Removed A VSC (power supply unit) has been shut down or removed
from the system.
0x905 Chassis
Overtemperature
A chassis overtemperature condition has been detected, and
the SP will attempt corrective action.
0x906 Unit Shutdown The logical disk unit of which this disk module is a member
has been shut down and can no longer be accessed by the
host.
0x907 Controller Firmware
Panic
A fatal firmware (SP microcode) error occurred; as a result, the
microcode reloaded and restarted the SP. This message is
logged after the restarted session completes its initialization.
0x908 Hardware Fault - Cache
Disabling
Some hardware condition has caused the SP to disable the
cache. The problem might be:
• BBU is not ready (not present and fully charged)
• One or more vault disks is missing or being rebuilt
• Fan fault occurred
• SP failed
0x909 Cache Dump Failed A fault occurred but the SP cannot dump the cache to the
vault drives, most likely because two or more cache vault
disks are missing or have failed.
0x90A Assign Fails - Cache
Dirty Unit
The SP cannot assign this unit, because it is marked as
having cached data outstanding, and the controller has no
access to the data.
0x90B Controller Cannot
Initialize Cache
A hardware or software failure occurred when the SP
attempted to initialize a new cache image.
0x90C Cache Image Exceeds
Memory Size
This SP is incapable of loading the saved cache data image
due to insufficient cache memory size.
0x90D BBU Removed The Battery Backup Unit in this disk array has failed or been
removed.
0x90E BBU Failed The Battery Backup Unit in this disk array has failed its
internal self-test.
0x90F Cache Recovered With
Errors
A nonmirrored cache recovery was attempted but failed to
recover the cache pages for some cached LUNs. It does not
apply to a disk array with two SPs.
