Parameters
slot slot-number: Specifies an LSU1TGS48SF0 card by its slot number. (In standalone mode.)
chassis chassis-number slot slot-number: Specifies an LSU1TGS48SF0 card. The chassis-number
argument represents the ID of the IRF member device. The slot-number argument specifies the slot where
the LSU1TGS48SF0 card resides. (In IRF mode.)
Usage guidelines
After you configure an LSU1TGS48SF0 card to operate in port-extender mode, you must reboot the card
so that the internal interfaces FortyGigE 3/0/49 and FortyGigE 3/0/50 become visible and
configurable extension ports.
After you disable port-extender mode for an LSU1TGS48SF0 card, you must also reboot the card to
apply the new configuration.
Extension ports are interconnected. To avoid broadcast storm, do not assign the two extension ports to
the same VLAN.
The extension ports cannot be used in VLAN 1. Do not configure extension ports in VLAN 1.

Use system-id to configure the system ID for an RB.
Use undo system-id to restore the default.

Defaults
An RB automatically generates a system ID according to its MAC address.

system-id: Specifies the system ID for an RB in the format of xxxx.xxxx.xxxx, where each x is an
hexadecimal number.
Usage guidelines
If you set a new different system ID for an RB, the system resets the TRILL process.
