Setting the port status detection timer
The device starts a detection timer when a port is shut down by a protocol. If the port is still down when
the detection timer expires, the device automatically brings up the port so the port status reflects the port's
actual physical status.
To set the port status detection timer:

shutdown-interval time The default setting is 30 seconds.
Monitoring the CPU usage
The device samples CPU usage at a specific interval (configured with the monitor cpu-usage interval
command), and saves the statistics to the history record buffer after you enable this feature. You can use
the display cpu-usage and display cpu-usage history commands to view the CPU usage statistics.
To monitor the CPU usage:

2. Enable the CPU usage
monitoring function.
In standalone mode:
monitor cpu-usage enable [ slot
slot-number ]
In IRF mode:
monitor cpu-usage enable [ chassis
chassis-number slot slot-number ]
By default, the CPU usage
monitoring function is
enabled.
3. Configure the interval at
which the device samples
CPU usage statistics.
In standalone mode:
monitor cpu-usage interval interval-value
[ slot slot-number ]
In IRF mode:
monitor cpu-usage interval interval-value
[ chassis chassis-number slot slot-number ]
By default, the interval is 1
minute.
4. Display CPU usage
statistics.
In standalone mode:
display cpu-usage [ slot slot-number [ cpu
cpu-number ] ]
In IRF mode:
display cpu-usage [ chassis
chassis-number slot slot-number [ cpu
cpu-number ] ]
Available in any view.
