HP StorageWorks File Migration Agent 2.2.7 release notes

 The timeout on setting a file to a sparse file has been increased from 1s to 10s.

 The following kernel enhancements have been implemented in order to handle files

having 3

party Extended Attributes (EAs) attached:

o The FMA kernel does not release files with third-party EAs. and an appropriate

message is written to the FMA log file.

o The FMA command “fmacli verify –o local –r <directory>” has been extended to

detect files with third-party EAs.

o The FMA repair function has been improved to handle files with third-party EAs.

If you encounter any of these issues, it is highly recommended that you upgrade to FMA

2.2.7.

Supported Hardware and Operating Systems

operating systems.

Hardware Support

FMA 2.2 runs on Window 32-bit and 64-bit operating system on the following server platforms:

 32-bit Intel Based Processor

 32-bit AMD Based Processor

 64-bit Intel Based Processor

1 & 2

 64-bit AMD Based Processor

FMA 2.2 runs on WOW64 for 64-bit systems. As Microsoft states, “WOW64 is the x86

emulator that allows 32-bit Windows-based applications to run on 64-bit Windows.” FMA is a

32-bit application.

Itanium-based servers are not supported by FMA.

Minimum system requirements for 32-bit systems:

 Intel Xeon ™ 3.60 GHz 32-bit processor (or) AMD-Athlon 1000 32-bit processor

 1 GB of Total RAM

 Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1

 At least 10% of hard drive disk space must be free for FMA software to operate properly.

Minimum system requirements for x64 bit systems:

 Intel Xeon® processor 5000 sequence (or) AMD-Athlon 64 processors

 1 GB of Total RAM

 Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1

 At least 10% of hard drive disk space must be free for FMA software to operate properly.

Recommend system requirements for 32-bit systems:

 Dual Core Intel Xeon 5000 sequence 32-bit processor (or) AMD K6 ™ 2E+ series 32-bit
