HP StorageWorks File Migration Agent 2.2.7 release notes
directories are selected. In this case the menu will offer ALL HSM operations, even those
that are not available for some files. In case an operation is not available for a certain
file, the operation is rejected by the HSM kernel and an appropriate result code is
returned.
Viewing files remotely from a FMA server via Window Vista Explorer using the
“Thumbnails” view is not supported. The Windows Vista Explorer ignores the OFFLINE
attributes of some files, and this may cause unintentional recalls of file when being
viewed as thumbnails.
The following features are not supported by FMA:
FMA cannot manage a volume that contains the active windows operating system or the
FMA installation directory. Managing an operating system drive is critical, because
migration and release of system files might lead to an unusable system.
DO NOT manage your FMA installation drive.
FMA does not support cluster quorum disks. The quorum disk is therefore marked as
"restricted".
The FMA MMC Snap-in is not available on 64-bit Windows. For configuring FMA, use:
Start -> Programs -> HP StorageWorks File Migration Agent -> FMA Configuration.
FMA 2.2 does not support HP Storage Mirroring software.
FMA does not support MS Windows 2000.
Job Manager
Description tab does not display double-byte characters. FMA Job Manager displays
double-byte characters as underscores.
FMA server does not support Veritas Storage Foundation and all of its features:
o Volume Manager and File System
o Storage Foundation Manger
o Dynamic Multi-pathing (DMP)
o FlashSnap
o Veritas Cluster Server
o Online Administration
