Writing Monitors for the Event Monitoring Service (December 1999)

Chapter 3 99
Creating a Resource Monitor
Processing a Monitor Request Event
RmMonitorReply Valid values are as follows: (continued)
RM_POLLTIME
The resource monitor does not support
the polling interval specified by the
client in the RmPollingInterval
field of the Monitor Request object.
The client should resend the request
with a longer polling interval. If the
monitor is using this, also set
RmPollingMinimum.
RM_QUERY_NOT_SUPPORTED
The resource monitor refused to
monitor the resource because it does
not support requests with an
RmLifetimeOption of
RM_QUERY_REQUEST, which is a
one-time request for the current
resource value. This is to be used by
asynchronous monitors that do not
maintain a current value.
RM_REJECT
The resource monitor refuses to
monitor the resource for unspecified
reasons.
RM_RESOURCE_NOT_DEFINED
This monitor normally monitors this
resource, but the resource is not
currently defined. The resource
monitor is unable to get its value.
