Testing a Resource Monitor with montest

montest Error Messages

This section explains the meaning of some of the messages that the

montest utility may display.

Bad Monitor Request -

error_code

This error indicates that the Registrar did not accept a monitor request.

See the ﬁle /opt/resmon/include/resmon.h for information on the

cause of the failure.

Unmatched quote in threshold value for resource

resourcename

This error indicates that you omitted one of the quote marks when

specifying the threshold value.

Unmatched quote in user data value for resource

resourcename

This error indicates that you omitted one of the quote marks when

specifying the user data.

Script file

scriptfile_name

does not exist

This error indicates that the ﬁle you speciﬁed after the -f option to

montest could not be found. Check that the full path name is speciﬁed

and is correct.
