In order to verify the successful operation of a resource monitor, all
communication paths to and from the resource monitor must be
exercised. These three communication paths, shown in Figure 4-1, are
between the:
• resource monitor and the Registrar
• resource monitor and the target application
• resource monitor and the resource that is being monitored
