After upgrading to Storage Management Appliance software 2.1, you may want to install an antivirus

application. For more information on supported antivirus software, refer to HP OpenView Storage

Management Appliance Software Using AntiVirus Software application notes. This document provides

the most current information on installing and using supported antivirus software.

Step 4: Upgrading host servers

Ensure all host ser vers connected to the storage system meet the necessary requirements for VCS

3.028XCS 5.031, and upgrade them if necessary. These requirements are described in the operating

system connectivity release notes.

Refer to the appropriate connectivity documentation for upgrade instructions. See Table 3 for a link to

the connectivity d ocuments.
