11. Back up the data in the Enterprise Virtual Array.

Step 3: Upgrading the HP Storage Management Appliance

Estimated time to complete:1.5 to 2.5 hours

This step is required only i f you use the HP Storage Management Appliance to manage the storage

system. If you use another management conﬁguration, skip this step.

upgrade is necessary, use the Storage Management Appliance (SMA) software 2.1 CD and refer to

the instructions in the HP OpenView Storage Management Appliance Software Update Installation
