2 Software com patibility

The Enterprise Virtual Array uses several management software applications. When considering an

upgrade, ensure that all the software and ﬁrmware versions are compatible.

This section p rovides tables that summarize which versions of software are compatible with each other.

Use Table 4, Table 5,andTable 6 to ensure that you are using compatible software versions.

• If you are using earlier versions of any of the components listed here, contact your HP-authorized

service representative for assistance in upgrading to XCS 5.031.

HP StorageWorks Command View EVA 4.1 is required with XCS 5.031. HP Command View EVA

4.1 is compatible with the following components:

Software

• HP StorageWorks Virtual Controller Software XCS 5.031

• HP O p enView Storage Management Appliance software 2.1

Hardware

• HSV210 controller (EVA8000)

• HSV200 controller (EVA4000 and EVA6000)

• The following management server t ypes are supported:

• HP OpenView Storage Management Appliance I, II, or III

• General-purpose server

• Dedicated management server

•ProLiantStorageServer

NOTE:
