3 Installing and removing HP P6000 EVA
SRA Software version 5.0
This chapter explains how to install and configure HP P6000 EVA SRA Software version 5.0.
IMPORTANT:
A successful installation depends on using compatible versions of the OS and all installed software.

NOTE:
If a version of the adapter earlier than 5.0 is installed, it must be uninstalled before installing the one
described in this guide.
Installation directory
SRA can be installed on any drive and location, depending on where SRM is installed.

sra\hp_p6000_eva_sra
Where <SRM install location> is C:\Program Files (x86) by default.
Installation prerequisites
To install HP P6000 EVA SRA Software version 5.0, you must have administrator privileges, and
VMware Site Recovery Manager must already be installed on the server. In addition, SRM should be
installed, Windows User Account Control (UAC) needs to be turned off before the SRA installer can
run, and versions earlier than 5.0 of the SRA must be uninstalled.
Installing HP P6000 EVA SRA Software version 5.0
HP P6000 EVA SRA Software version 5.0 is installed using the latest installation executable,
downloaded from hp.com. The executable is HP P6000 EVA SRA.exe.
NOTE:
HP P6000 EVA SRA Software version 5.0 must be installed on both the local site SRM server (protected
site) and the remote site SRM server (recovery site).
