HP StorageWorks Windows connectivity 4.0C for the 3000/5000 Enterprise Virtual Array Release Notes (5697-6595, March 2007)

Support is provided for Active/Active failover.
Support is provided for single–path mode.
Support is provided for Active/Passive to Active/Active data migration.
Support is provided for booting from a storage area network (SAN).
MPIO can coexist on the same ser ver as Secure Path.
The internal identication of the EVA3000 controller is HSV101, and the internal identication of
the EVA5000 controller is HSV111. The HSV101 and HSV111 identication is internal to the VCS
code only, the bezel indicates EVA3000 (HSV100) or EVA5000 (HSV110) .
The same host bus adapter (HBA) can attach to any combination of the following storage systems:
HP StorageWorks 3000/5000 Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA3000/5000)
HP StorageWorks 4000/6000/8000 Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA4000/6000/8000)
HP StorageWorks XP series
VCS 3.028 to VCS 4.00x migration
The Active/Active failover feature in VCS 4.00x imp acts host con gurations. Contact your HP ser vice
representative to congure your system and perform the migration procedure.
IMPORTANT:
In order for
your system to recognize the EVA3000/5000 A/A storage array with VCS 4.00x, you must
run Smart C
