2. Search for “emx:” in the file. You should see the following lines:
emx:
# PCI_Option = <..., Device_Id - 0x1ae5, ...>
# PCI_Option = <..., Device_Id - 0xf700, ...>
3. Copy and paste a copy of the line with Device_ID 0xf700, replacing the
0xf700 with 0xf800 and removing the opening '#' character.
The results should look like the following:
emx:
PCI_Option = <..., Device_Id - 0xf800, ...>
# PCI_Option = <..., Device_Id - 0x1ae5, ...>
# PCI_Option = <..., Device_Id - 0xf700, ...>
4. Write the contents of the file.
5. If you are not already logged in as root, change to root with su root.
6. Rebuild the kernel (run the doconfig command), copy the new kernel to
/vmunix, and reboot the system.
Upgrading a V2.0 or V3.0 Server to V3.0B
Follow this procedure to upgrade an existing V2.0 or V3.0 host server to V3.0B.
1. Upgrade the Virtual Controller Software (VCS) and the Command View EVA
software from V2.00X to V3.010 (see the upgrade instructions that came with
the VCS kit).
2. Locate and delete the V2.0 SSSU executable.
3. Install the V3.0B kit (see “Installing the Host Kit” on page 20).
You may also need to upgrade the FCA firmware. Check the platform-specific
release notes for supported FCA versions.
