Using migrate.sh to Upgrade
The migrate.sh utility is used to update HBA drivers FCA2257C, FCA2257P, and
FCA2257S from version 3.26 to version 4.11. The following migration procedure
assumes that:
■ The server has the above-mentioned HBAs (and optionally JNI HBAs)
installed and configured.
■ Secure Path V3.0, V3.0A, or V3.0B is installed.
■ The existing HBA configuration parameters are saved.
■ The installed Platform Kit version is 2.3F or higher.
To install the StorageWorks HSV Platform Kit V3.0B and Secure Path V3.0B
SP1 or V3.0C:
1. Migrate from the V3.26 HBA driver to the platform kit package containing
the V4.11 driver by typing:
cd <CD_PATH>
# ./migrate sh
2. Answer ‘Y’ when asked if you want to remove the CPQhsv (or CPQfcraid)
and QLA2x00-x packages. Accept all other installation defaults.
Note: Do not reboot prior to upgrading Secure Path.
3. Upgrade to Secure Path V3.0B SP1 or V3.0C by inserting the Secure Path
CDROM and typing:
# pkgadd -a upgrade -d
4. Answer ‘Y’ to all queries until the upgrade is complete.
5. Reboot the server to load the new HBA configuration and the Secure Path
driver.
Your HBA and Secure Path drivers and other files are updated; your Secure Path
configuration remains the same.
