This document is intended to assist customers who purchased the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual

Array(EVA)torunontheLinux®operatingsystem.

This document is also intended for use by HP customer ser vice personnel responsible for installing and

maintaining devi ces connected to the EVA storage system.

New features

The following are major enhancements included in this release:

• Support is provided for Virtual Controller Software (VCS) 3.028.

• Support is provided for multipathing coexistence on the same ser ver.

• The same Linux® server can attach to any com bination of the following storage systems:

• HP StorageWorks EVA3000/5000

• HP StorageWorks EVA4000/6000/8000

•XPSeries

• Support is provided for updated kernels (see Table 1).
