The last part of the installation program will ask if you want to search for new
devices. The script issues a cfgmgr command to discover new devices.
The IBM AIX Kit V3.0B for Enterprise Virtual Array installation is now
complete. The host is ready to configure and use Enterprise Virtual Array disk
devices. See Chapter 3 “Testing Connectivity to Virtual Disks” for information on
configuring virtual disk devices. See “Uninstalling the IBM AIX Kit” in Chapter 2
for information on uninstalling this kit. See “Details about Installed Components
and Software” on page 47 for details on how to use the additional software that is
installed with this kit.
Uninstalling the IBM AIX Kit
You can uninstall the IBM AIX Kit V3.0B for Enterprise Virtual Array in two
ways. You can either run the UNINSTALL utility from the kit CD-ROM or you
can execute the hp_hsv_uninstall command.
Note: Before you uninstall the IBM AIX Kit V3.0B for Enterprise Virtual Array, you
should stop all applications that use Enterprise Virtual Array disk devices as well as
remove any volume group data that may exist on any of the virtual disks.
The Uninstall utility does the following:
Removes any Enterprise Virtual Array virtual disks
Removes any Cambex adapters (optional)
Removes the Secure Path driver (optional)
Removes HACMP support (optional, if installed)
Removes support for Enterprise Virtual Array devices
Removes the Storage System Scripting Utility applications
Removes HP common Fibre Channel Utilities
Removes the programs in /usr/sbin
Runs the bosboot -ad /dev/ipldevice command
Use the following procedure to uninstall the Enterprise Virtual Array kit.
1. Issue the hp_hsv_uninstall command (if you do not have /usr/sbin
in your path, the command is /usr/sbin/hp_hsv_uninstall).
