Upgrading WEBES
This procedure applies when upgrading to W E BES 4 .5 RU1 from an existing version of WEBES that is
within t wo versions of 4.5. For example, WE BES 4.5 can be upgraded when either version 4.4.4 or
4.4.3 is installed, but not if version 4.4.2 or earlier is installed. If an upgrade is attempted on a version of
WEBES t
hat is too old, you will be told to uninstall the existing version, and the upgrade will not proceed.
If WEBE
S is already uninstalled or was never installed, see the WEBES Installation Guide.
Upgrading lets you preserve your conguration and state data. Be aware that upgrading uninstalls the
older version of WEBES and installs the newer version. The upgrade does not patch or replace certain
les, as was the case with WEBES Service Packs.
Whenever a version of WEBES is already installed that is capable of being upgraded, the WEBES kit
informs you that the older version was detected and prompts you about upgrading.
1. Double-click the WEBES kit le to o pen the kit.
2. Clic
