Much of the information included here is not documented elsewhere, so it is recommended that you read this information thoroughly before installing and operating the EVA3000/5000. FIXES The following issues have been resolved in VCS v4.004: • Resolved an issue that could potentially cause a resynch of the controllers when encountering a bad drive. • Resolved an issue that caused EVA3000s being upgraded to VCS v4.001 to continuously restart if the EVAPerf CLI was running in the SAN environment.

NOTE: • To maintain your storage system at the most current configuration, HP recommends that all disk drives use the current version of firmware. • A minimum of eight disks is required to create a disk group. 6. Click OK. EVAPerf does not display Vdisk and disk group after upgrading An EVAPerf issue exists when upgrading an EVA3000 or EVA5000 from VCS v3.x to VCS v4.x. Following the upgrade, EVAPerf will not be able to display VD (Vdisk) and VDG (Virtual Disk Group) statistics when EVAPerf is run on a Windows host with LUN presentations from the storage system.
